MY FITNESS JOURNEY

Finding Fitness on the Field

DSC_2423.jpg

My love for health and fitness started when I was in college studying biology, but growing up I had always been active in sports like soccer, street hockey, basketball and more. â€‹But while playing lacrosse in college I felt weak on the field and I knew I wasn’t competing at my potential. I saw another guy on the lacrosse team who totally transformed his body over the summer and it inspired me to give exercise a serious effort. Like all fitness nuts I started reading books, going on websites, watching videos, and hitting the gym!

The results were addicting. Within a few months my physique was changing and people were starting to notice.  More importantly, my performance on the field started to improve.  I felt stronger, I was faster and my shot was harder.

It didn't end there. I started to feel more confident and I had more energy.  My sleep really improved too. I naturally started to eat better and  became more aware of how I was fueling my body. I could focus better in class and my grades improved even though I was spending more time in the gym and on the field.

Today, I’ve been fortunate to turn my passion into a thriving profession. Since 2009 I’ve been working as a certified Personal Trainer in the Central Connecticut area, guiding my clients toward healthier lifestyles. Through working with a diverse group of clients, I’ve come to realize that everybody is unique, each with their own goals and lifestyles, their own limitations and their own strengths.

I pride myself in really listening to my clients and developing a connection to figure out long lasting solutions to fitting health and fitness into their lives. I do this by constructing personal programs that meet people where they are and take their schedules, lifestyle, interests, needs and experience into account.

There are so many benefits that simply moving everyday can bring.

I truly believe that exercise is a foundational pillar to a great life and the key to optimizing it, so that you can fully pursue what you want out of life.
